Under the conditions of the Ritter reaction 1-substituted linear and angular derivatives of 3,3-di- and 3,3,4,4-tetramethyl-3,4-dihydrobenzofuro[3,2-g]- and [2,3-h]isoquinoline were obtained. Their stereochemical properties are discussed.
