Abstract

By recyclization of 2-R-6-ethyl-7-hydroxy(methoxy)-3-(5-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)chromones when treated with hydrazine hydrate and phenylhydrazine, we synthesized 5-phenyl-2-(3-R-5-R1-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1H-1,3,4-thiadiazoles and 2-(3-R-5-R1-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-5-phenyl-1H-1,3,4-thia-diazoles. We confirmed the structure of the latter from 1H NMR spectra.
