PYRROLE RING CLOSURE REACTIONS IN THE SYNTHESIS OF ISOINDOLES

Abstract

The microreview describes recent advances in the synthesis of isoindole derivatives via pyrrole ring closure reactions. We report the latest selected examples (2012–2018) on the synthesis of isoindoles: multicomponent reactions, [3+2] cycloaddition of azomethine ylides and münchnones, and transition metal-catalyzed
C–H activation reactions.
