Abstract

A series of branched hydrazones have been prepared by reaction of N-(2,3-epoxypropyl) derivatives of 9-ethyl-3-carbazolecarbaldehyde and 4-diethylamino-benzcarbaldehyde phenylhydrazones with 1,2-, 1,3-, 1,4-benzenediols. It was found that the reaction rate depends on the polarity of solvents.
